In addition to the action on the competition floor, the Championships will signal the beginning of the Prime Ministers Olympic and Paralympic Challenge. Gymnastics is one of the prominent sports involved in the challenge that will be actively encouraging primary school children to get out and try some of the sports that they’ll be seeing at the London Games.
And that’s not all. The Championships will also host the launch of the Gymnastics Australia Fundamentals Program – LaunchPad. This program has been designed to teach primary school aged children the fundamental movement skills required to give them the competence and confidence for a lifelong involvement in physical activity.
