Applications Open for National Trampoline Coach

Gymnastics Australia is seeking applications for the full-time position of Trampoline National Coach.

Building on the success of the Tokyo2020 Olympic Games where Australian trampoline athletes, for the first time, were awarded Olympic quota spots for male and female through the FIG World Cup series ranking and then, at the Games, achieved a final’s berth; the TRP National Coach will lead both the development and implementation of the Paris2024 Campaign Plan and the Brisbane2032 futures program.

The National coach will provide strategic and technical direction for the sport and may also fulfill daily training environment coaching responsibilities to facilitate and optimise holistic athlete development to enable athlete readiness to perform when it counts.

Reporting to Gymnastics Australia’s National Performance Director (NPD), the primary role of the Trampoline National Coach is to:

  • Develop and implement the strategic direction for TRP’s Olympic discipline (individual) that will result in athlete’s qualification and ultimately podium performance at Olympic Games and World Championship events.
  • Drive the identification and selection of athletes to the TRP Senior and Junior National Squad as well as AIS/GA athlete categorisation list; and
  • Ensure TRP categorised athletes have individual performance plans that are implemented, monitored and reviewed within their respective daily training environments.

This role is required to provide non-traditional out of hours or weekend support from time-to-time.

Applications close Tuesday 7 September, 2021.
