Applications now OPEN - FIG Level 2 SUPER Academy!

Gymnastics Australia is excited to announce that the FIG Level 2 Academy for MAG, WAG, RG, TRP/TUM, & AER will be held at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra from Thursday 12th December until Thursday 19th December 2019! This course will be an incredible learning opportunity for any coach with an Advanced or higher coach accreditation and should not be missed!

So why are we getting in touch with you? Because you currently hold an Advanced Accreditation in one of the aforementioned Gymsports meaning you may be eligible to apply!

Attendance at the Academy is a prerequisite to gaining your Advanced Silver Accreditation and provides coaches with the knowledge and skills to coach athletes on the pathway towards international competition success.

These Academies are most suited to coaches who have experience working with gymnasts in Level 7 to 10 or equivalent. It is expected that potential candidates will have gained this experience and knowledge through appropriate professional development and learning. Any coach wishing to attend a Level 3 Academy in order to gain their High Performance Accreditation, must first attend a Level 2 FIG Academy for their Gymsport.

Advanced coaches can attain their Advanced Silver accreditation by attending the FIG Level 2 Academy and achieving a pass mark of 80% in both theoretical and practical components. Gymnastics Australia enforce these pass marks to maintain the high standard of our Advanced Silver and High Performance coaching community.

We would like to invite all interested candidates to express their interest in attending the December 2019 Academy by completing the application form below. The application form contains all the information you need to know about the course.

Applications for the Academy will remain open until midnight on Sunday 30th June, 2019. Invitations to the Academy will not be sent out until after all applications have been carefully reviewed, a process that can take up to two weeks.
